Type of Film: Funny story

Summary and Analysis:
Smoke Signals described the relationship between a father and his son. Victor and Thomas were Indian. When Victor and Thomas were babies, Victor's father drank a lot of wine and he made the fire. Thomas' parents were died by the fire. But Thomas did know the reason. Victor's father leaved them and moved to another place. Victor and Thomas went to find Victor's father when they grew up. But Victor's father has died. Suzy Song told them the reason about the fire. Victor did not believe that his father safe him. But at last, he forgave his father.

Relation to Case Study:
In Case Study people were always discriminated by the different race people. People in the film had some discriminated too. When Victor and Thomas get in the bus people were string them because they were Indian. It was an racial prejudice in Case Study and "Smoke Signals".

Reaction to Film:
This movie is very funny and sometimes it gave me a lot of sad feelings. It illustrates the ties that bind these two very different young men and embraces the lessons they learn from one another. When they took a bus to go to the U.s, people were always string them. I think they have some prejudices between Indian and others. People in different races can not segregate. I was touched when I saw that they forgave Victor's father. It is a very good movie and I think it is the best movie of which I watch in American Culture class.
